Netta Day Camp has launched!
June 17, 2019
Monday was a big day for Massanetta Springs. For the first time in over a decade, we welcomed campers into Bell Auditorium to begin our Netta Day Camp. This summer, we are extending the reach of our ministry into the local community as campers age 6-12 sing, play, pray, paddle, swim and learn there way through six sessions of camp.
“Much of Massanetta’s ministry has always been focused on people from outside of our immediate area. Netta Day Camp improves our ability to share God’s love with our closest neighbors.” said Executive Director, Rev. Clayton Rascoe. He continued, “It was so good to hear campers singing as they began their day, and I was thrilled to see them out on the lake learning how to canoe a little later in the morning. It just feels like something that has been missing from our ministry has been put back in place. We hope this small beginning turns into a flourishing program which benefits parents and others needing meaningful summer experiences for the children in their lives.”
Netta Day Camp was in part made possible through a gift of the estate of Lee Morrison for which Massanetta Springs is very grateful.
There are sessions of Netta Day Camp running through the last full week in July, and there is space still available. If you would like to learn more about Netta Day Camp, or to sign up, visit our webpage.
