Our program will focus primarily on nature exploration and outdoor fun, including many favorite camp activities. Why Netta After School?
As a program of Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference, our mission is to be “a place for all people to experience God through renewal, discovery, and hospitality”. As we pursue our mission, from your first contact with us, until the time the program ends, we enter every communication with parents, every camper activity, everything we do with one goal in mind: to treat everyone like the beloved child of God. We work to make this show in everything we do.

Our Goal
To provide an introductory, faith-based, program that welcomes participants and promotes renewal, hospitality, and discovery for students and staff.
Desired Outcomes
Welcome: To feel accepted and included, regardless of identity, faith, or background
Renewal: For students and staff to feel encouraged and excited to engage with the After School program
Hospitality: To facilitate a safe community that meets participants where they are, but promotes empathy, kindness, honesty, and overall morality.
Discovery: To present the chance for participants to try and to practice new skills and activities
Meet the STAFF
CHRISTIAN DEEN (HE/HIM)
BASE CAMP MANAGER
Christian has a long history in camp life, growing up at a summer camp in West Michigan has since worked several different camp jobs including counselor, challenge course manager, and wilderness trip leader. Christian has a degree in Camping Ministry with a focus on Recreation & Leisure Management.
Christian joined the Massanetta team in January 2019, and now lives in Harrisonburg with his dogs Bentley and Scarlett. When not playing with his pups, he can be found cooking, enjoying local coffee, listening to a good story podcast, music, or planning his next woodworking project.

$115/week for 5 days a week
$80/week for 3 days a week
The full price of Netta After School includes all activities and a daily snack.
A deposit equal to two weeks of your selected program option is due at time of registration.

While we welcome any K-5 student to our program, Rockingham County Schools has a bus route from Cub Run Elementary with a stop right at Massanetta Springs. We are in conversation with the school district about adding a stop for Peak View Elementary as well. Students from other schools would need to provide their own transportation to Netta After School.
Students grade 6-8 who have younger siblings in the program are also welcome to join Netta After School. Transportation from Montevideo Middle School can be provided by Rockingham County School Bus routes.

DEPOSIT, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION DETAILS
Deposit
A deposit equal to two weeks of your campers’ selected program option is due at time of registration.
Payment
After the deposit, weekly automatic payments will be set up through our registration system, ending one week prior to the end of the semester. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please contact Christian Deen directly at afterschool@massanettasprings.org
Refunds/No Shows
Each NBCAS full week participant can be refunded for up to five (5) days and three day a week campers three (3) days missed during a semester with advance notice. (At least three business days for planned absences, before noon on the day of for emergencies/sickness.) Missed days will be totaled at the end of the semester and refunded all at once. Absences without notice (no-shows) will not be refunded, nor will absences of over 5 days without approval from NBCAS staff.
Withdrawals
To withdraw from NBCAS, written notice must be provided. Phone calls and voicemails will not be accepted as notice of withdrawal. Cancellation mid semester will result in a two week charge to the payment on record less any days the camper is eligible for through our refund policy. Campers withdrawn less than two weeks from the end of a semester will be subject to a one week cancellation fee less any refund days they are eligible for.
