Community Partners

Mission projects for groups are careful selected based upon the skill set of the group, particularly the adult leaders. Mission at Massanetta offers a diverse group of community partners each working to address different issues in Harrisonburg and in the surrounding areas including:

  • Food Justice

  • People Experiencing Homelessness

  • Other Social Services

  • Animals in Our Community

  • Thrift Stores and Other Second-Hand Stores

For youth groups, Mission at Massanetta requires one adult for every seven youth.

What to Expect

What is Massanetta Springs?

Massanetta Springs is a historic camp and conference center is nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. It is a special place where God feels close, lasting memories and friendships are made, and the beauty of creation can be seen all around. We hope to make your experience as meaningful as possible.

Who is Mission at Massanetta for?

When Mission at Massanetta was started in 2009, it was originally designed with middle and high schoolers in mind. Over the years it has developed in a multi-generational program with something for everyone.

Lodging & Meals

Cabins ($110 per person, $75 each additional day)

Lodging is in air-conditioned cabins in lushly wooded Camp Massanetta. There are 4 villages, each village has 4 cabins (sleep up to 8 in each, 2 bunks, 4 twins), a shower house, and a building designed for group gatherings. A larger meeting space is shared by all groups.

Richardson & Cottages ($110 per person, $90 each additional day)

Other lodging options are cottages (bunk beds) or dorm-suite style bedrooms (2 twins in each room, 2 rooms share an adjoining bath). Staying in either the cottages or Richardson is at an extra cost.

Meals (included in the registration fee)

Meals are provided in the Historic Hotel dining room, with accommodations made for special dietary needs. Bag lunches are provided on the days your team is away at a work site.

Our pricing is based on the number of people you bring, what lodging you are staying in, and how many nights you are staying. It includes all meals and programming in the price. We price Mission at Massanetta this way so that groups can come for a day, a full week, or any where in between!
