11:30A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
OVERVIEW
Make your plans to celebrate those you call mom by joining us for our first-ever Mother’s Day Brunch at Massanetta Springs. The food will be excellent, there’s nothing quite like being at Massanetta on a wonderful spring day, and you won’t have to wait in line at a busy restaurant, and no one (especially mom) will have to worry about cleaning up afterward. We’ll take care of it all!
You can make your reservation on the half hour from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday May 12th. Click on Tickets and Pricing to make your reservation
Come early or stay late and enjoy Massanetta’s campus with the family! The family will enjoy the playground, basketball court, gaga pit, and walking trails. Bring your fishing gear and enjoy fishing Lake Campbell (catch and release).
As an extension of our Meals for our Mission program, not only will you receive an excellent meal and great hospitality, but you’ll also be making a difference in our community. We are partnering with our good friends at Church World Service on this event. A portion of the cost of each meal will go directly to a fund to support Massanetta’s ongoing partnership with CWS to provide temporary shelter to refugees as they arrive in the Shenandoah Valley. Since 2016, Massanetta and CWS have partnered to house hundreds of new neighbors from all around the world on our campus. This has given time for CWS to find appropriate permanent housing, jobs, etc. for these families. Part of every meal sold will help subsidize the cost of that temporary shelter.

OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH CHURCH WORLD SERVICE
The Church World Service Harrisonburg Immigration and Refugee Program has resettled refugees since 1988 from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Burma, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Croatia, Cuba, El Salvador, Eritrea, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Pakistan, Russia, Rwanda, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan within a 100-mile radius of our office. Our primary goal is to help the refugee form long-lasting relationships in the community which become the basis of self-sufficiency. In order to reach this goal, a family must be able to maintain their own basic needs in a sustainable lifestyle. Our program provides a bridge from their former life in their home country to a new set of cultural, linguistic, and practical skills that will enable them to thrive in Harrisonburg. Their diverse, multilingual staff work with newly arrived refugees from day one to smooth their transition and aid them on their journey to self-sufficiency.
Over the years, Massanetta Springs has been privileged to offer support to CWS’s amazing work by offering lodging, meals, and other means. In 2021, we could not believe the amount of support we received to help those seeking refuge from Afghanistan. The work CWS does and the support we are able to offer are only possible thanks to the generosity and love of others.
