What is Massanetta doing regarding Coronavirus?

Updated September 15

Massanetta Springs is OPEN!

We are pleased to announce we ran a full summer of Massanetta Springs summer programming with no positive COVID-19 tests, and no reports of community spread from any guest! We have made safety our top priority since the very beginning of the pandemic, and we are thrilled with our results this year. Thank you to all the guests, leaders, and staff who made an inspirational and safe summer happen for so many.

Currently, Massanetta Springs is following the guidance of the CDC to determine whether we are recommending/requiring masking for guests while on our campus. When Rockingham County, VA is in a “High” or “Substantial” risk of transmission zone as designated by the CDC, all guests will be required to wear masks when in the Historic Hotel Lobby, Roanoke Room, and Dining Room (unless seated and actively eating). Guest attending Massanetta sponsored events will be required to mask in other indoor areas when Rockingham County are in those zones. Guest groups providing their own programming and renting space from Massanetta will also be strongly advised to mask when we are in those CDC zones, and required to do so when Massanetta Springs staff members are present.

To find out more about the CDC’s recommendation and to find out what zone Massanetta Springs is currently in please visit the CDC website for more details.

Massanetta Springs will continue to monitor advice from the CDC, the Virginia Department of health, the American Camping Association, and other trusted sources to make decisions concerning masking, vaccination, and other items related to COVID-19.
