Children ages 6 - 12 swim, paddle, create, play, and explore each day all within a caring Christian environment. Campers learn about God through daily bible stories and experience God’s love through our dedicated counselors. A variety of theme weeks throughout the summer provide different experiences for campers who come multiple weeks. Why Netta Day Camp?
As a program of Massanetta Springs Camp and Conference, our mission is to be “a place for all people to experience God through renewal, discovery, and hospitality”. With our unique program, Netta Day Camp is able to offer a special access point for our shared mission.
Our Goal
To provide an introductory, faith-based, outdoor camp program that welcomes participants and promotes renewal, hospitality, and discovery for campers and staff.
Desired Outcomes
Welcome: To feel accepted and included, regardless of identity, faith, or background
Renewal: For campers and staff to feel encouraged and excited to engage with the Day Camp program
Hospitality: To facilitate a safe community that meets participants where they are, but promotes empathy, kindness, honesty, and overall morality.
Discovery: To present the chance for participants to try and to practice new skills and activities
Netta Day Camp is also accredited through the American Camp Association (ACA)!

2024 dates & THemes
Each week of Netta Day Camp includes a range of classic camp activities such as: arts & crafts, team games, archery, canoes, and fire building. Additionally, each week has a theme that determines special Theme Activities & Bible Story Curriculum spread throughout the week.
Art Week: Make fun and colorful projects during these weeks of Day Camp!
Fun & Science: Interact with a different area of the sciences each day. From plants to planets, the world has a lot to show us!
H20-ology: A water specific theme to cool off from the heat and explore nature
Camper’s Rule: Campers choose up to 2 camp activities a day to enjoy
Ignite!: One week is set aside each summer just for our girl campers to spend some time together! Past summers have highlighted biblical and contemporary women role models throughout the week.
Music week: Netta Day Camp joins the Bible & Church Music Conference to practice their musical skills for showcases on Wednesday and Friday evening

Day Camp Staff
Christian Deen (He/him)
Day Camp Manager, ext. 1118
Christian has a long history in camp life, growing up at a summer camp in West Michigan has since worked several different camp jobs including counselor, challenge course manager, & wilderness trip leader. Christian has a degree in Camping Ministry with a focus on Recreation & Leisure Management.
Christian joined Massanetta in January 2019 and the 2024 season will be his 6th summer with Netta Day Camp. He now lives in Harrisonburg with his dog Bentley. They especially love the local coffee and pizza! When not playing with Bentley or cooking, he can be found listening to a good story podcast, music, or planning his next woodworking project.

Thursday Overnights
Available for Day Campers, ages 10-12
Our oldest Day Campers can sign up for an overnight stay at Massanetta Springs. NDC Overnight campers will have the opportunity to practice greater levels of independence and continue to build their confidence in a safe, supervised environment. Staying overnight will also be fun!

Overnight option is available on the Thursday of each week (if there are enough individuals interested)

“Spring at the Springs”
Your camper can spend this Spring Break back at Massanetta Springs! Most activities will take place outside and will feature Netta Day Camp’s “classic camp activities”: archery, bible stories, canoeing, campfire cooking, crafts, and more!

A week of Day Camp is $279 for a full week with some discounts available for summer 2024
Pricing
$279/week for summer 2024
The full price of Netta Day Camp includes all activities, daily snacks, lunch, and a camp t-shirt.
The only additional fees for Netta Day Camp are optional early care ($35/week), late care ($35/week), both early and late care ($54/week), or our overnight Thursday option for our older campers ($66).
Discounts
Early Bird - Sign your campers up for Netta Day Camp before February 1st and receive a $12 per camper per session discount.
Multi-Session Discount - Sign your camper up to enjoy multiple weeks, and save an additional $9 per camper per session after the first camp.
Multi-Camper Discount - take off an extra $9 when you send more than one camper to a week of camp
Scholarships
Our mission statement begins with the words, “to be a place for all people.” This means Massanetta makes every effort to welcome everyone. If the registration fee is the only thing keeping your camper from enjoying Netta Day Camp, please get in touch with us directly: daycamp@massanettasprings.org
While our campership funds are not infinite, we will make an effort to make a Netta Day Camp experience possible.
Deposit, Payment & Cancellation details
Deposit
A minimum $50 deposit is required at time of registration. (If filling out a campership form, or the $50 creates a hardship, please reach out via email or phone.)
Payment
Payment in full is required at least 30 days before the start date of your camper’s Netta Day Camp session. (You will create an account in our online registration system, where you will be able to set up payment plan if you wish.)
No Shows
There are generally no refunds for campers who have begun their week of day camp.
Cancellation & Transfers
More than 30 days before: full refund
29-3 days before: refund minus $50 deposit
Less than 3 days before: usually no refund
Cancellations more than 30 days before your camper’s session can receive a full payment refund. Cancellation between 3-29 days before your camper’s session will result in a full refund minus the $50 deposit. Cancellation within 3 days before your camper’s session will result in no refund. In general, once a camper has begun a session there is no refund.
You may also transfer to another session of camp prior to the start of a session without penalty (if space is available). If you transfer to a later camp session and need to cancel again, the cancellation date from your initial reservation will be used to apply our cancellation policy.
